スマトラ島の熱帯雨林の奥地で野生の未記載種のホマロメナが湿った岩に着生している様子。この種類は葉柄が比較的長く、葉の表面はベルベットのような質感を持っており光を柔らかく乱反射する特徴がある。A wild, undescribed species of Homalomena growing on damp rocks in the depths of the tropical rainforests of Sumatra. This species has relatively long leaf stalks and a velvety leaf surface that softly reflects light.

この種類は西スマトラからリアウのあちこちで見ることができました。

葉の質感や凹凸に個体差があり、アスペリフォリアやプリカータに似た個体などもあります。

0625では特に尖った特徴の個体は見つからなかったんですが、全体的にギラついた強い天鵞絨の質感です。

今までは現地便も含めて緑色しか見たことがなかったんですが、一株だけ赤系の個体が有りました。

一つあるという事は、付近のどこかに赤率が高い場所があるはずですね。

リアウ側でも同種と思われる個体を発見。

ここの個体は少し彫りが深くて細葉の個体でした。

写真は乾季でカラカラに乾いた岩に活着している様子。

スマトラ島のジャングルの奥地に生息するHonalomena sp. Sumatera Barat K0425-2として知られる野性のホマロメナが湿った岩肌にセラジネラ属と混生して生えている様子。A wild species of Honalomena, known as Honalomena sp. Sumatera Barat K0425-2, found in the deep jungles of Sumatra, grows on a damp rock surface, intermixed with Selaginella sp.

どこの山でもこの種類は水が少なめの岩に着生しているようです。

ここの個体は緑色に少しオレンジ色を混ぜたような色合いで柔らかい布っぽい天鵞絨感。

プリカータっぽい彫りの深い葉が特徴的な場所でした。

ここの個体は特徴的で良かったので開花時期にもう一度行ってみたいと思っています。

2月にも同種を見つけたんですが、この時近くに似た別種があり、同じ種類だと思って写真を撮り忘れ。

何でもかんでも写真を撮るべきですね。。。
